#2getherTeam Award winners for July and August

17/9/20

Congratulations to three members of the 2gether team who received #2getherTeam Awards in July and August. Each winner received a certificate, a token of appreciation and a 2gether star pin badge.

July Winners

Zoe Goldsmith, Health & Safety Advisor
Zoe received two compliments from Trust staff. This recognition from outside of her own team led Stuart Hammerton, Associate Director of Safety, to put Zoe forward for a #2getherTeam Award:

“Just wanted to say thank you to Zoe for assisting with our H&S audits….She went above and beyond – really helpful, professional, organised and friendly. Thanks again its really helped us here.” – Craig, IT Incident & Service Senior Engineer

“I met Zoe Goldsmith who kindly took the time to speak to me about some health and safety issues regarding our working environment. She was extremely helpful and supportive and was very good at helping me to understand the processes I needed to… These ideas and her general approach has really helped me and my team to move forward with our Health and Safely needs.”  – Christina, Resuscitation Officer

Belinda Hyndman, Domestic at Kent and Canterbury Hospital

Belinda was nominated by Steve, IT Incident and Service Technician. He said:

“My colleague and I recently had to visit the ITU unit at KCH. The unit is currently a Blue Zone and with a requirement for all who enter to wear full PPE… As we had not visited the unit (or any other) under these conditions before, we were not familiar with any of this, as in where to find the kit, requirements such as taping up the gloves and sleeves, the procedure for removing it when leaving the unit as well as any items we needed to returned to the IT department.

“Belinda approached and advised us when we were outside the unit – in a very friendly, helpful manner throughout. Belinda obviously takes pride in her work and is a real asset to both yourselves and those she meets whilst carrying out her duties.”

August Winner

Rose Dalton, Domestic on ITU at QEQM

Rose received more than 20 nominations from the staff on ITU – that has to be some sort of record! Here are just a few of the lovely comments we received about Rose:

“Rose is very hard working but always has a smile on her face! She always cheerfully greets you! She has been working all through this COVID crisis and just wish the hard work she does is appreciated.” – Raji

“Rose is such a fantastic part of our team. She always greets everyone with a smile and is so friendly. She works really hard and has been an absolute asset to our team. Even through the pandemic she has continued to provide an excellent service. Rose deserves special recognition for being such a great colleague and a real hard worker.” – Michelle

“Rose always works tirelessly to keep our unit clean and tidy. She is a credit to our team and has continued to work her socks off during the Covid-19 pandemic. She doesn’t ever complain about having to clean the whole unit, in full PPE. She always goes out of her way to help the team. Well done Rose” – Sophie
